writes "Here's just one of the many memorable moments I have. I'm not
out for the "biggest laugh," just for some fond and happy memories for
the living Brothers of the '40's.
This picture is circa '48 or
'49 (at 83 my memory is not good) of our winning 'song program' at the
Purdue Music Hall during a Mothers day weekend. Quite an exciting time
for all of us to sing in front of a 5000+ audience! And I must say we
were damn good !!
After that we had all kind of requests from
sororities all over campus for serenades and we sang for many. Not
always at a full chorus because our Betas (many WWII vets) were serious
about their grades, and if I could get 30 or so rounded up for an hour
or so I felt lucky. The gals all loved it! Hope you enjoy the pictures
of over 60 years ago!"
